A new uniform policy will be in place from September 2022. The new policy reflects the Department of Education’s statutory guidance that:
-
uniform should be affordable,
-
schools should take into account all items needed whilst a child is at the school, and
-
the use of branded* items should be kept to a minimum.
We expect children to be smart, well presented and to wear full school uniform at all times, including their journey to and from school.
To help parents/carers support us in this aim:
-
our uniform is a simple, practical one, most of which can be bought in local supermarkets/high street clothes retailers,
-
the school’s PTFA run termly good-as-new uniform sales, dates of which are published in the fortnightly newsletter, and
-
only the school tie and the book bags are required to be branded, all other branded items are optional.

To minimise any costs of change for existing pupils, there will be a transition period from the current policy to the new policy during the academic year 2022-2023.
The new policy will be fully implemented from September 2023.
