Curriculum Intent
God seeks for us to make a difference in our world. We wish that, through learning and demonstrating our values, our children, families and staff can rise to the challenge of what God desires for everyone. Each child's journey should enable them to flourish in every aspect of their lives enabling them to become compassionate and respectful citizens.
Vibrant: Our curriculum is underpinned by our school vision and values promoting the all round development of children preparing them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. Our children develop the independence and character to become honest and trustworthy young people.
Innovative:Through a broad and balanced curriculum, we foster children's spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development, inspiring them to contribute positively to the modern world in their best way.
Inclusive: Our children are at the heart of our curriculum which has been carefully planned to reflect their starting point and lead them on a journey of discovery. We see our role as preparing our children for a bright and hopeful future as aspirational and lifelong learners by providing them with an ambitious and inclusive curriculum driven by high quality texts, engaging lessons and enriching opportunities.
Spiritual: Spiritual and moral learning is important to us, therefore, our curriculum is underpinned by our model of spirituality (iii) which encourages children to notice what is happening in the world, reflect on what they notice and respond in a way that empowers them to be hardworking stewards of the future.
